Fans of the Minneapolis-based hip-hop group Atmosphere are going to be gathering en mass Monday, Oct. 15 at the Pabst—so to will anybody else who is looking for an amazing show and $20 burning a hole in their pocket.

This will be Atmosphere’s third appearance at the Pabst, and with two previous sold out shows, this show will most likely burst at the seams.

This years tour “Everybody Love a Clown” showcase yet another EP from the duo “Sad Clown Bad Summer.”

Atmosphere is comprised of two members frontman Slug (Sean Daley) and DJ Ant (Anthony Davis). They’ve been on the indie hip-hop scene since 1997 as a duo. Atmosphere has been the Minneapolis and the Midwest’s treasured secret for a decade. With the constantly evolving industry, the group has stayed true to form and produced striking albums and extraordinary live performances.

Along with Ant’s revolutionary beats, Slug throws down lyrics unlike any others heard in the hip-hop scene. With every breath Slug tells intertwining stories of self-destructive relationships, Midwest life and personal introspection.

Atmosphere does have a new album, “When Life Gives You Lemons…” scheduled to come out early next year, so fans in attendance may get an early tease into some of the album’s tracks.

Opening up for Atmosphere is hip-hop artist Mac Lethal and hip-hop duo Grayskul, both of which have released new albums in the past month, Grayskul’s debut “11:11” and Grayskul’s “Bloody Radio.”

Next week’s issue will feature a full review of the concert incase you miss it, but you have no reason to. The show is on Monday - just DVR “Heroes” already and come.
