Meet your fitness instructor
Dana Georgenson will get your heart pumping

Dana Georgenson, this week’s Green Room fitness instructor, knows all the right moves to work your core and tighten your abs.
Dana is a senior, and this is her third year working in the Green Room as an instructor. She will be graduating in May with a degree in Physical Therapy and hopes to attend graduate school.
In her spare time, Dana enjoys figure skating, hanging out with her little brother, photography, knitting and listening to music.
On Tuesday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., Dana teaches Pilates along with another instructor, Katee. In this class, Dana and Katee focus on strengthening and stability of the core.
This class features a full half-hour of Pilates work, and the last 15 minutes are dedicated to basic yoga moves, as a cool down for your body.
“This is a low-intensity toning class, but you can definitely feel it,” Dana said.
Dana also teaches “Step it Up” with Katie from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. Aerobics is mixed with step exercises in this hour-long class.
“It’s a high-intensity class that can be adapted to any level,” Dana said. “We work the whole body.”

“We have motivated and creative staff,” Dana said. “We offer the largest variety of classes.”
In addition to offering fitness classes, the Green Room also puts on several health and wellness-related programs throughout the year.
