Sydney, the producer of My Roanoke Nightmare

The show opens up, focusing on on the actors themselves as the “producer” of “My Roanoke Nightmare”, Sydney (Cheyenne Jackson) who brings everyone together in a Big Brother style set-up. He plans to bring the actors and the real characters from the documentary for a “three days in hell” as a return to the home on the blood moon.

Each actor is reeling from their portrayal of the “real people” who are also still dealing with new issues. Spoiler alert: Shelby (Lily Rabe) and Matt (André Holland) had broken up after the airing of My Roanoke Nightmare because of a fling between Shelby and Dominic (Cuba Gooding Jr.), the actor who played Matt in the reenactments. Meanwhile Matt’s sister, Lee (Adina Porter) is dealing with the onslaught of protests from people who think she had killed her husband in order to gain custody of their child Flora.

We then met more of the actors, Audrey (Sarah Paulson), the woman who played Shelby in the reeahs-2nactments, who introduced herself as an Englishwoman, complete with a hefty English accent and a ring on her finger. It is then announced she is engaged to none other than Rory, who is played by real life actor, Evan Peters. The fan favorite returned after many fans worried his portrayal of the original house owner who was killed would be the only screen time Peter’s would have. The end of the episode did nothing to console fans after Peter’s character Rory was unfortunately murdered by the sister-nurses.

Episode six’s plot twist opens more of the character’s up to horror as the actress who played the B

utcher, Agnes, (Kathy Bates) has gone insane, and may have been involved in a murder. The house, which mirrors the feeling of Paranormal Activity and the Murder House of AHS season 1, is full of suspense as the creatures Shelby and Matt had told of start to make an appearance on the cameras. The pigman can be seen scaring Audrey after she steps out of the shower, the nurses may have killed Rory, and Agnes is seen stalking the house.

All of this may just be a set up from the producer, Sydney, who put the Roanoke Nightmare: Three Days in Hell story together in order to get more views. The whole set-up is perfect for staged events, but since this is all also happening on the blood moon that became a omen for evil during the first half of the season. Anything is game and now anything can happen.
