UW-Milwaukee is teaming up with Hunger Task Force for a campus-wide food drive happening from Oct. 26 through Dec. 1.

There are more than 60 donation boxes around campus including one in the Student Success Center in Bolton 120, one in the Golda Meir Library and one in every residence hall.

The non-perishable food collected from these boxes will be taken to the Hunger Task Force facility, where they will be distributed to families in need throughout the year.

“We’d like to beat our collection totals from last year’s 13,877 pounds of food and $3,630.42 in monetary donations,” says Nicky Glaser who helps run the campus food drive.

Food donations can be dropped off at any of the 60 boxes around campus, and monetary donations can be made as well. Checks must be written out to “Hunger Task Force” and dropped off at the CCBLLR in the Union in room G28, and monetary donations can be made at the UW Credit Union on campus to the “UWM Service Account”.
