Bradley Beal scored 18 points and Marcin Gortat chipped in 16 as the Washington Wizards defeated the Milwaukee Bucks by a score of 105-101 on Saturday night in a preseason game.

The Bucks were up 99-98 with three minutes remaining in the game, but two offensive fouls led to Washington capitalizing and taking the lead, something they wouldn’t relinquish the remainder of the game.

Chris Copeland, one of the Bucks’ free agent pickups from the offseason, made his preseason debut. He scored 16 points on 5-13 shooting.

Khris Middleton broke out of his preseason slump by having a solid game. The Bucks’ shooting guard put up 21 points in 22 minutes of play. He also made three 3-point attempts.

John Henson continued his strong performance in the preseason, notching yet another double double, scoring 12 points with 13 rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench. In his last two preseason games, Henson is averaging 14 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per game in 19 minutes per game, shooting 68 percent.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had a solid night, scoring 12 points. The Greek Freak also knocked down a pair of threes, something that he has been working on adding to his arsenal this entire offseason.

Greg Monroe had a strong presence on the defensive side of the ball as he tallied three steals. The big man also 13 points on 5-8 shooting.

Rookie Rashad Vaughn fell back to Earth after his 19-point performance in Cleveland in the team’s previous preseason game. The rookie hit one three-pointer in 18 minutes of action last night.

Milwaukee was able to get to the free throw line 28 times last night, but only converted 16 of them, something Jason Kidd will definitely want to improve on.

The Bucks are now off until Tuesday, when they play the Minnesota Timberwolves in an exhibition game at the Kohl Center in Madison.
