Milwaukee Panther Head Coach Rob Jeter was notified he will not be returning next year by Athletic Director Amanda Braun Thursday.

The news comes as a bit of a shock as the Panthers are coming off of a 20-win season. Milwaukee is only two years removed from their last NCAA Tournament birth. Jeter was also considered as a candidate for the head coaching position at Miami FL in 2011.

Jeter finishes his time at UWM with a record of 185-170 in his 11 seasons in Milwaukee. Jeter will finish one win shy of tying Guy Penwell’s school record for wins. Saying that, the Panthers have finished outside of the top-three in conference in each of the last five seasons. Braun announced that a nation-wide search will begin immediately to find Jeter’s replacement.
