Easter: A low-pressure system developing over the central Plains will bring increasing clouds and a high chance for rain by afternoon across southern Wisconsin. Rainfall will spread from south to north during the day and become widespread by evening. The heaviest rain is expected west and northwest of Milwaukee. Meanwhile, easterly winds off Lake Michigan will keep temperatures cooler near the shore (upper 40s) while inland areas reach the 50s.
Sunday Night: Widespread rain continues through the night, with the highest rainfall likely in southwest and west-central Wisconsin. Places such as Platteville and the Baraboo Hills could see over an inch of rain. Southeast Wisconsin, including Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha, will see lighter amounts, generally under half an inch; however, a few locations may end up with over an inch due to storm track. A few rumbles of thunder are possible, but severe weather is not expected. Winds will be breezy from the east and northeast.

Monday: Rain lingers into Monday morning across much of southern Wisconsin, gradually tapering off through the afternoon as the system moves away. Cooler, breezy northwest winds will arrive behind the low. Afternoon gusts may reach 40mph across the region, but significant cold air won’t settle in. Highs will range from the upper 40s near the lake to mid-50s inland. Expect cloudy skies and the possibility of lingering drizzle early.
Tuesday-Thursday: A noticeable warm-up begins inland Tuesday, with highs climbing into the 60s and 70s by midweek. Near the lake, temperatures are expected to stay cooler in the 50s and 60s. Southerly winds ahead of another approaching system will bring more humid air. Showers and thunderstorms may develop Tuesday afternoon or evening, with additional rounds possible later in the week.
