Today, May 13: Today starts with the possibility of some light rain in the morning, but it won’t last all day, likely moving out before the noon hour. Clouds will also break up a little bit, allowing for some sun to shine through. Temperatures will be in the mid-60s, and winds will be light. There is a chance of fog in the evening as temperatures dip and move closer to the dew point, thanks to a lake breeze.
Tonight: Fog will stick around throughout the night as the temperature and dew point remain close together. Tomorrow morning could be affected by some denser fog as we have a Dense Fog Advisory for the area until 10 a.m. tomorrow morning. There could be some drizzle mixed in as well. Temperatures will fall into the low 50s.
Wednesday, May 14: Wednesday looks similar to Tuesday. Fog will stick around into the morning, and clouds will move back in as a system approaches from the southwest. The clouds will likely break in the afternoon, allowing some sun to come through. Temperatures look to be in the mid-60s yet again. There is another slight chance of rain on Wednesday afternoon, but mainly for our inland communities. Wednesday night could be foggy yet again as temperatures dip down into the low 50s.
Extended Forecast, Thursday, May 15 – Saturday, May 17: Thursday could be our first active day in a while. A healthy mix of sun and clouds will allow temperatures into the upper 60s, as well as provide some energy ahead of a cold front accompanied by a low-pressure system that moves our way. Right now, there are two main possibilities: 1) Nothing happens, and it’s a warm, spring day. 2) Storms fire, and severe weather is possible. Which of the two occurs will depend on the track of the low, which is still a little uncertain. Make sure to stay weather aware regardless. Friday looks relatively calm as temperatures will warm back into the upper 70s, with another slight chance of rain in the afternoon. A better chance of rain comes Friday night as the system completely clears. Saturday cools off, with highs in the upper 60s. Mostly sunny, but a slight chance of rain in the afternoon.
