This spring, there’s a buzz going around the show dome at the Mitchell Park Domes in Milwaukee.
The new display at the Domes is called ‘BEES!’ and it’s about the different types of bees there are and how we can help them along the way.
Mitchell Park Domes’ show dome is set up as a beautiful botanical garden with many different types of flowers and sculptures of the different types of bees they highlighted in the show.
Walking through the garden, seeing the different types of flowers and vibrant colors, made me feel like a bee or small insect myself.
A few times, I found it difficult to focus on a single flower, kinda like a bee.
Walking around and seeing the different bee sculptures was amazing to see.
The way they were made to look like recycled parts, and overall oversized, truly fed into the “I feel like a small bug in this big garden.” Especially with how they were placed around the dome.
Each bee sculpture had a QR code to learn about each type of bee they had displayed.
It was nice to take the time to enjoy the flowers and learn more about each bee type, and now to fully help protect the bee population.
Come check out the show dome until May 25. Be mindful of construction happening in the area and bus route changes, if you take public transit.
