
Overview: A calm and dry period of weather for Milwaukee is in store this weekend. Temperatures will be on the cooler side but a gradual warm up looks to start at the beginning of next week with small rain chances returning.
Today: On the back side of a cold front, Saturday will start out with overcast conditions as temperatures rise to the upper 40s with blustery northwest winds blowing around 15-20 mph and gusting up to 30 mph. By the afternoon, temperatures will reach the upper 40 for the daytime high with winds remaining gusty and turning to the west. A dome of high pressure will begin to work its way in from the northwest which will lead to clouds decreasing and more sunshine.
Overnight: By the overnight hours, winds will begin to turn to the southwest generally between 5-10 mph, but gusts could still be near 25 mph. Temperatures will dip into the low 30s for a low under clear skies.
Tomorrow: Sunday sees partly sunny skies with winds from the west around 10 mph move into the area. More clouds form during the afternoon, as temperatures top out in the mid 40s coupled with a 20% chance for an isolated shower. Heading into the evening, skies will begin to clear and temperatures overnight will slide into the lower 30s. Winds will turn to the east under 5 mph.
Extended: A calmer and gradual warm up will be in store over the extended forecast. Monday will feature high temperatures near 50 degrees with winds around 10 mph from the southeast. Skies will start out mostly sunny but become more cloudy as the day progresses. Overnight, winds will switch to the southwest and increase to around 10-15 mph ahead of a low-pressure system. By Tuesday, a weak stationary front will be parked out to the northwest of the state, causing temperatures will top out near 70. There’s a 30% chance for showers in the evening, owing to a cold front that moves through the area. Finally, Wednesday will be a mostly sunny as temperatures rebound into the low 60s. Winds shift to the southeast between 5-10 mph with increasing clouds during the evening.
