Overview: Milwaukee’s 5-Day Weather Forecast April 19, 2026, finds some possible snow today and drizzles on Monday, but otherwise mostly dry weather with slowly rising temperatures.
Today: As we rise from 32 degrees, temperatures quickly enter the 40s with a boost from 10-mph winds from the southwest. Milwaukee hits a high of 44 thanks to the southern gusts of 16 mph in the early morning. In true Wisconsin fashion though, gusts jump up to 30 mph from the northwest while some snowy clouds pass overhead. Despite the cold upper-air temperatures, snowflakes reaching the surface either become rain or melt on contact. Starting around 10 a.m., chances for precipitation spike to 50% until noon. The possibility of lake-enhanced snow remains, holding precipitation chances at 10% into the night.
Tonight: Temperatures drop to a hard-fought low of 31 degrees due to the lake’s temperature currently being 41 degrees. Averaging 4 mph overnight, gusts pick up out of the southeast in the late night to 14 mph as clouds leave the skies.
Tomorrow: Waking up to a colorful sky, the morning which starts the work week does not see any precipitation due to the influence of a high-pressure system. Temperatures only reach 45, struggling against lake and land winds. Winds begin strengthening over the day from 6 mph to 11 mph in the afternoon from the southeast. Around the same time, clouds increase a bit while the high pressure exits southeast. With drizzles passing through from evening until the morning of Tuesday, precipitation chances hit 10%. Southern gusts strengthen to 26 mph later continuing throughout the night causing overnight temperatures to rise 6 degrees from Sunday night to 37.
Tuesday: In the morning of Tuesday, precipitation and winds begin dying down with gusts lessening to 20 mph. Temperatures skyrocket to a possible 71 before returning to the upper-40s for the night. Wind direction changes overnight to the northeast thankfully because of another fair-weather system coming down from Canada. Gusts begin to blow from the northeast.
Extended: Wednesday and Thursday say goodbye to the weakening high pressure. Pressures drop and clouds gather through the two days as a strong low-pressure closes its distance to Milwaukee. Temperatures remain warm though, at 65 and 78, respectively. Lows reach 50 Wednesday with few clouds until Thursday’s winds. After 12-mph gusts and average 6-mph winds from the southeast Wednesday, Thursday reinforces the damp air with 28-mph and 13-mph winds from the southwest. Thursday night might see the beginning of some storms, so stay tuned!
