Overview: Rain and thunderstorms are expected throughout the weekend and into the week. A heat wave is also on the way, with Wednesday hitting a heat index close to 100 degrees.

Today: Saturday skies start off cloudy but quickly turn to clear, with only a few high clouds dotting the sky during the day. Temperatures rise into the mid 80s, along with winds off the lake at 5 mph with 10 mph gusts. 

Tonight: Clouds return on Saturday night and increase as the night goes on. Temperatures fall into the upper 50s, with winds out of the east at 5 mph with 10 mph gusts.

Tomorrow: Clouds continue to cover the sky on Sunday, with cooler temperatures in the low 70s. Winds pick up slightly, blowing off the lake at 10 mph. Sunday night starts off dry before the occasional thunderstorm and scattered shower moves into the area after 3 a.m. Temperatures fall into the lower 60s, coupled with winds off the lake at 6 mph with 16 mph gusts. 

Extended: Rain continues on Monday, starting the night before and continuing throughout the day. Temperatures peak early in the day around the upper 60s before falling off into the mid 60s during the night. Tuesday remains overcast during the day, with a few breaks in the clouds during the evening. Temperatures rise into the upper 70s, coupled with winds out of the south at 8 mph. Thunderstorms move through the area late on Tuesday night, with a chance for severe weather after 9 p.m. Wednesday temperatures max out in the lower 90s, with a heat index close to 100 degrees. Skies will be sunny, with winds off the lake at 6 mph.
