Overview: Friday and Saturday is pleasant with mostly sunny skies, but a massive pattern shift sends Milwaukee’s temperatures into the 90s accompanied by high humidity. Storm chances return by midweek.

Today: Friday will be the last cool day for a while. Overcast skies in the morning will make it difficult for temperatures to rise through the low 60s with east winds at 6 mph off of Lake Michigan. A low-pressure system passing to the south will generate a 20% chance of a stray rain shower by the noon hour; however, most will stay dry. Some peaks of sun should shine through in the late afternoon as a weak high pressure from the north takes hold of Milwaukee’s weather. This will aid temperatures which will reach the high 60s with east winds staying consistent. Skies will clear into the evening, and winds will swing to the north.

Overnight: Winds ease to around 5 mph as temperatures cool into the high 50s under mainly clear skies.

Tomorrow: Saturday will be another picture-perfect summer day across the Milwaukee area thanks to the weak high-pressure system to the north. Temperatures will rise through the 60s in the morning under mostly sunny skies with winds from the northeast, but turning east around 8 mph. Sunny skies continue through the afternoon which will help temperatures reach the low 70s for a high with east winds staying consistent. The high-pressure system will start to move further off to the east by Saturday evening which will make way for the next weather maker. Before it arrives, Saturday night will feature clouds on the increase and temperatures cooling into the high 50s with light winds turning to the southeast.

Sunday: Heat, humidity, and storms will be all possible over the extended forecast. Sunday will be a transitional day of weather across the Milwaukee area with high pressure leaving to the east and a strong warm front approaching from the west. High temperatures will reach the high 70s with southeast winds at 6 mph. Mostly sunny skies will dominate, although a 10% chance of a rain shower will be possible in the late evening. Furthermore, dew points will be increasing through the day which will land in the high 60s and make things feel quite sticky and uncomfortable. Overnight dew points will continue to increase as low pressure approaches with a warm front. Temperatures only will be able make down into the high 60s for a low, as winds switch to the south.

Extended: Monday the heat is on. A warm front will swing through Wisconsin in the morning. High temperatures will top out in the low 90s accompanied by dew points in the mid-70s. Gusty south winds will be around 12 mph under partly sunny skies. Most of the day will remain dry, but a 10% isolated shower or thunderstorm chance can’t be ruled out because of the daytime heat and humidity. A heat advisory may be needed Monday and Tuesday because feels-like temperatures could approach 105. If outside, make sure to stay hydrated, take plenty of breaks in the shade, and seek air conditioning when you can. Winds will shift to the southwest overnight. Temperatures will only make it down into the mid-70s for a low with skies clearing.

Tuesday will be more of the same. High temperatures will soar into the mid-90s, and dew points will stay in the tropical mid-70s. Southwest winds will continue around 12 mph under partly sunny skies. A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms will exist in the afternoon, however, it is unclear how much rain and if anything will be severe. Winds will ease to around 10 mph overnight, and temperatures will remain elevated in the mid-70s for a low under partly cloudy skies.
