Alderman Russell W. Stamper, II, who represents the 15th district on the Milwaukee Common Council, invited community members to a march to end gun violence, honoring the life and memory of Emani “Flash” Robinson, happening on Sunday, June 28.

The march will begin at 2:30 p.m. on N. 37th and W. Center St. in Milwaukee, with the annual Emani Robinson Community Day Block Party to follow. There will be food, a bounce house, contests and haircuts. The march will kick off the event.

“I encourage the community to come out and use this block party as an opportunity to come together and support each other and celebrate the legacy of a promising young man who was lost too soon,” Alderman Stamper said

This event will commemorate nine years since Robinson’s passing. Robinson was 16 when he was shot and killed in an incident near 39th and Center in June 2017.

“Emani is remembered as a loved family member and friend with an electric personality who could always uplift those who had the opportunity of spending time with him, and we again look forward to honoring his memory,” Alderman Stamper said.
