Frida Fest returns to Milwaukee this weekend on Saturday, July 18, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, July 19, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Farmhouse Paint Bar and Banquet Hall located at 4511 S. 6th St.

“I hope residents citywide take full advantage of this opportunity to connect with neighbors, experience a wide array of art and culture, and have fun and just enjoy a lovely summer weekend in Milwaukee,” said Alderman Scott Spiker.

This weekend is the 8th  Annual Frida Fest, which is an annual celebration of the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

The celebration will include a variety of family-friendly activities such as painting classes, live music, food trucks, local vendors, educational pieces and the Frida Kahlo look-alike contest featuring both adult and youth categories.

“Frida Fest has become a tradition unlike any other, and is a fantastic offering for the entire family,” said Alderman Spiker.
