Overview: A rainy and damp Saturday will lead to brighter Sunday. Seasonable temperatures return by Monday and Tuesday, but Wednesday rain chances and warmer temperatures work their way back into Milwaukee.
Today: Saturday will be another rainy day across the Milwaukee area. Temperatures will rise through the upper 60s in the morning under overcast skies. A band of rain showers will be making its way through the area accompanied by a breezy northeast wind around 18 mph and gusts around 30 mph. High temperatures will only make it to 70 by the afternoon with heavy showers and isolated rumbles of thunder. Dewpoints during the day will be stuck in the upper 60s but, the consistent northeast wind will make things feel more damp then hot. By evening, showers will come to an end, leaving Milwaukee with overcast skies. Additional rainfall amounts between a quarter to one-half inch will be possible through the day.
Overnight: Winds turn north during the overnight hours around 14 mph sustained, and gusts could reach 25 mph. Temperatures will cool into the low-60s under overcast skies.
Tomorrow: Sunday things start to dry out. Northeast winds will still be around 12 mph during the morning hours as temperatures warm through the upper 60s under overcast skies. A 10% chance of an isolated shower exists through the morning hours, but across Milwaukee most will stay dry. A weak high-pressure system comes into Wisconsin from the north by the afternoon. Because of this, temperatures will be able to rise into the low-70s for a high under mostly sunny skies. Winds decrease by the evening and drop to around 5 mph by the night. Finally, temperatures cool into the low-60s under clear skies.
Monday: A dry and seasonable start to the upcoming week will lead to an active midweek. Monday a weak high-pressure system will dominate the day. Temperatures will be able to reach the mid-70s for a high with northeast winds around 8 mph under brilliant sunshine. Overnight winds will become light and variable as temperatures drop back into the low-60s under clear skies.
Extended: Tuesday will feature more sunshine which will allow temperatures to top out in the upper 70s with winds turning to the east around 5 mph. The high pressure will begin to exit Wisconsin, making way for a weak cold front from the northwest sweeping through Milwaukee overnight. Ahead of this cold front will be a decaying line of showers and embedded thunderstorms which will arrive after 4 a.m. A 20% chance of precipitation will exist through Wednesday early morning and in the early afternoon. Exact rain amounts are still unclear, but severe weather is unlikely. Besides the rain chances, winds will become light and variable Tuesday night with temperatures falling into the mid-60s under partly cloudy skies. Wednesday is when the next weather pattern shift comes to Milwaukee. Winds will turn to the west in the morning around 5 mph with showers around. Showers will come but end in the afternoon, leaving Milwaukee under mostly cloudy skies. This won’t keep temperatures from reaching the lower 80s for a high with the west wind. Overnight winds become light and turn to the southwest however, temperatures will still fall into the mid-60s for a low under mostly cloudy skies.
