Hello Devout Readers and Passer-byes,

The Weather Forecasters at the UWM Post will now be forecasting only four days out of the week instead of full-week coverage.

For years, we have striven to provide end-to-end coverage of your week’s weather with seven forecasts for seven days. After reviewing schedules and commitments, it has become clear that we need to make a change. With only a few forecasters left within our ranks, we are trimming down to four forecasts per week.

I am Brandon Cheeseman, a lead forecaster and editor here at the UWM Post.

Upon stepping into this role last January, I enjoyed overseeing most every forecast which made it to the page. Day by day, month by month, we worked hard to provide a forecast for the people: complete yet succinct, in-depth but easy-to-understand, accurate and engaging.

It is with much sadness that we now make this shift.

5-Day Weather Forecasts will hold loosely to a schedule of being released on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. These forecasts will be just like any other forecast we have put out.

Then, a 7-day weekend edition will be sent out Saturday. This will contain a bit more information on the weekend’s weather as well as an overview of what could be expected in the upcoming work week.

Occasionally, we will shift these days to account for impactful weather or add more forecasts. We are here to help keep you safe, so we will make sure to forecast when adverse weather is expected.

Have any questions about this? Always feel free to comment below or reach out! We would be happy to answer any questions or hear feedback.

Otherwise, stay tuned for the next forecast!
