Overview: Pressure changes are prominent this week, with high pressure systems moving through the area twice this week. Rain drops by during the week, occurring on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Today: High pressure dominates the area on Monday, leading to mostly sunny skies and a high temperature in the lower 80s. Winds begin the day by blowing out of the northwest before switching to blowing off the lake at 8 mph with 15 mph gusts. 

Tonight: The high pressure moves into northern Illinois overnight, leading to clear skies and mild temperatures in the mid to lower 60s. Winds slow down slightly, blowing out of the southwest at 5 mph with 10 mph gusts. 

Tomorrow: Tuesday begins partly cloudy before rain moves through around 4 p.m. Temperatures start off mild in the lower 70s but quickly hit the lower 80s during the day, along with increased winds at 12 mph with 22 mph gusts. Spotty showers continue on Tuesday night, coupled with light winds and temperatures in the lower 60s. 

Extended: Winds shift on Wednesday, blowing out of the north at 6 mph and leading to cooler temperatures in the mid 70s. Skies switch to partly cloudy for the day, with patches of sunshine likely. Rain moves through the area on Thursday, along with temperatures in the mid 70s. Winds blow off the lake at 6 mph with the occasional 10 mph gust. Partly cloudy skies with spotty showers are expected on Friday, along with winds out of the southwest at 8 mph.
