Six time Emmy Award winning actor Bryan Cranston, also known as Walter White from Breaking Bad, made a stop at the Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee on his book tour promoting his newly released memoir: A Life in Parts. The book tour, A Conversation with Bryan Cranston, promised fans with “An up-close and personal conversation” which did not disappoint as audience members had a chance to hear never before told details of his life, participate in an audience Q&A, and receive a copy of his book.
Eager fans decked out in Breaking Bad gear lined up outside the venue early to hopefully catch a glimpse at the star. Though Cranston got his start in the industry in gigs such as Seinfeld, Malcom in the Middle, and X-Files, it was clear that most attendees were most familiar with his work in Breaking Bad.
Cranston was greeted with an explosion of applause and cheers from the crowd as he joined the stage. He began by telling his life story from the beginning, from being a dock loader under a broken family to doing candy bar commercials, all while providing insightful words of advice to those in the audience who dreamed of someday having the same success.
Cranston also revealed many behind-the-scenes details on how he obtained his most roles as Hal on Malcom in the Middle to Walter White on Breaking Bad. Expectedly, Cranston spent a lot of time discussing the inner-workings of his role in Breaking Bad, describing it as “The best role I have ever done, and ever will have done.”
Fans can get more of Bryan Cranston by purchasing his new memoir: A Life in Parts, as well as look forward to his new series that he produced, Sneaky Pete, premiering in January.
