With summer coming to a close and school bells getting ready to ring, the party doesn’t stop if you head on over to Bay View. The 11th annual Bay View Bash will be going down September 13th from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Being Milwaukee’s largest one day street festival run entirely by volunteers, everything from the local restaurants and pubs to shops and record stores will be merging on the main drag of Kinnickinnic Avenue between Potter and Clement.
With all due respect to other great festivals in Milwaukee, what makes this festival so unique is that it has multiple aspects of the community coming together for one day with vendors ranging from Turam Turkish Folk Dancers, Kompost Kids, Groppi, WMSE, Bay View Bark, Jericho’s BBQ to Shape Up Shoppe, Hamburger Mary’s and over 100 other vendors.
The money raised throughout the day will pay for the event with some of the additional profit going back to local organizations. This festival is not just entertaining our guests, but is literally fueling community for the neighborhoods of Milwaukee.
Stomping the grounds when the festival begins at 11 a.m. will be the annual dog walk sponsored by Bay View Bark, so please feel to bring your furry friend and show them off to the crowd.
Bash-goers should meet at the south picnic area between E Russell and Herman St on Kinnickinnic Avenue. You’re encouraged to arrive at 10:30 a.m. to register and partake in the costume contest. Prizes will be given to the best pooch and parent look-a-like.
The Bash not only welcomes your furry friends, but the rest of your family as well. There will be an area with bouncy houses and festival games galore. Stretching over four blocks, there will also be multiple music and entertainment acts tearing up the stages with The Prince Experience featuring Gabriel Sanchez, The Strong Man Competition, Heavy Hand and much more.
Save the date and come help salute the summer. Let’s go out with a Bash!
