Reggae rock band Rebelution is a quartet from California making its way to Milwaukee this Friday, Nov 11 on their Falling Into Place tour with special guest HIRIE.
Members Eric Rachmany, Rory Carey, Marley D. Williams, and Wesley Finley are all graduated students from the University of California, Santa Barbara with degrees in religious studies (Rachmany), anthropology (Finley), film studies (Williams), and business economics (Carey).
Manifesting from the college town of Isla Vista, they first began playing local shows and independently releasing their first EP. In June 2007, they released their first full-length album Courage to Grow, which pushed the band into the spotlight. Their single “Safe and Sound” was played on the radio continuously in San Francisco and San Diego. Courage to Grow ranked at No. 4 on the Billboard Top Reggae Albums chart.
Two years later, Bright Side of Life was released in August, reaching the #1 spot in the Reggae music genre on iTunes and No. 1 on the Billboard Top Reggae Albums chart.
The band grew their fan base by taking on music festivals such as Rothbury, Harmony, All Good, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and Wakarusa.
In 2012, Rebelution released their third studio album, Peace of Mind, which got them the No. 1 spot in Independent and Reggae music charts on iTunes. They sold 16,000 copies the first week even though they gave away the album free to fans six weeks before the album even released.
In 2014, Rebelution was a headlining act at California Roots as well as the largest Reggae festival in the U.S, The Reggae Rise Up Festival.
Released in June of 2014, was Rebelution’s fourth full-length album, Count Me In, which is debuted as the No. 1 Billboard Reggae album. An acoustic version was released in 2015, yet again topping the charts.
The band has recently headlined and sold out Red Rocks and the Santa Barbara Bowl. Their live Red Rocks show can be purchased here.

As Rebelution embarks on their Falling Into Place 2016 Tour, they are joined by Reggae-Pop band HIRIE.
Members include, HIRIE (Patricia Jetton), Chris Hampton, Andrew McKee, Andy Flores, Blaine Dillinger, Joey Muraoka, and are currently looking for a keyboardist.
Hirie, who grew up in Hawaii, fell in love with reggae and is a journey to “offer a global spiritual uplift” to all those she can reach.
Her top hit “Sensi Boy” grabbed the attention of reggae fans, putting her into the center of modern reggae music since 2013, even being nominated as San Diego’s Best World Music Award.
