We took the theme for this month’s playlist quite literally as we compiled a playlist of songs that we have been loving to sing in the shower this April. There’s something refreshing about April showers and similarly, about singing at the top of your lungs within the safety of your shower. And, keep an eye out for some rain-themed songs to sing in the shower as well, taking the theme to a whole new level.

A Year Without Rain - Wikipedia

A Year Without Rain by Selena Gomez & The Scene – Anna Gipple

I tend to feel very passionate during my time in the shower… passionate about ideas and my inability to carry a tune. When I belt out, A Year Without Rain, the fall of the water pushes me into a dramatic scene, just like the music video.

Evermore (Taylor Swift album) - Wikipedia

No Body, No Crime by Taylor Swift – Brianna Schubert

I sing so loudly about how Este never shows up to Olive Garden on Tuesday night and so someone (Is it Taylor herself? Is it a fictional character? Okay probably not Taylor) murders Este’s cheating husband who “smells like infidelity” before anyone can even ask why Olive Garden is their regular hangout spot. The shower is the perfect place to sing this song because it is not only an involved narrative but a boppin’ and mildly country tune. Also, it is much less of a heart attack than singing in the car because the sirens at the beginning of the song make me think I’m getting pulled over every time.

Tears (feat. Caroline Polachek) by Charli XCX on Amazon Music - Amazon.com

Tears by Charli XCX (feat. Caroline Polacheck) – Jacob Rohan

A great song to scream along to and wake up all of your roommates with. Of course it’s a bit of a sad some but the chorus will make you want to belt it out like no tomorrow. “SAY MY NAME SO NERVOUSLY NOW” iykyk.

POTTER, GRACE & THE NOCTURNALS - The Lion The Beast The Beat - Amazon.com Music

Stars by Grace Potter & The Nocturnals – Jacob Rohan

In yours feels, dim shower lighting, it’s a gut punch in the heart but you will not stop singing it. It’s a folk-rock ballad that will bring anyone back to heartbreak. Once it starts, it’s impossible to skip.
