Häagen-Dazs Rocky Road is expensive but still worth the sacrifice, even if it might look strange when you take your first scoop.

While other rendition of rocky road out there use fluffy marshmallows in the ice cream to give you the feeling you’re at a real campfire making s’mores and doing other camping things, the mallows in Häagen-Dasz Rocky Road are gooey, melty and almost runny.

I was so disappointed when I saw just how fluid the marshmallows in this ice cream, I almost missed all of the other goodness in this pint. The rich chocolate ice cream it’s based on and the perfectly chopped almond felt absolutely amazing in my mouth.

I didn’t think I would be able to taste the marshmallows at first. Confusing taste and feel as the same sensation, I thought the way they looked would be reflected in their taste and the Häagen-Dasz mallows would taste like nothing in the sweet mixture before me.

But they do taste like marshmallows and this rocky road rendition definitely does taste like the classic rocky road we all know and love.

The chocolate ice cream ice is smooth and creamy, it feels like it just melts in your mouth, revealing those chopped almonds.

Usually, nuts in a small pint of ice cream make it difficult to get a spoon in there cleanly, but these nuts are chopped so well and distributed so perfectly throughout that I never had a single problem eating this delight.

I enjoyed every bit of this delectable creation, chopped nuts, runny marshmallows and all. From opening the lid to scraping the bottom in one sitting, I never stopped enjoying this ice cream of the week.

In an effort to find some true adventure in my life as of late, I decided to add some chocolate syrup on my second bowl. I definitely don’t regret it. The flavors had me holding onto my hat is trundled down this rocky road.
