UWM Transportation Services provided the following information about a project that will close Westbound Hartford Avenue from Wednesday, August 5 to Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
Westbound Hartford Avenue between N. Maryland and N. Downer avenues is expected to be closed for concrete restoration work from Aug. 5-11. Eastbound Hartford Avenue will be open throughout the project.

Key details to know:
- Eastbound traffic on Hartford Avenue will remain open.
- Crosswalks will remain open.
- Driveways will remain accessible.
- Part of the south sidewalk and E. Hartford Avenue, just north of Golda Meir Library West, will be taped off for concrete repair.
- Work zones may shift during the project.
- Concrete repairs will require overnight curing before affected areas reopen.
