Today: Friday will be a warm day according to late August standards with plentiful sunshine thanks to a weak high pressure overhead. In the morning, temperatures will rise through the 70s with a southwest around 8 mph under mostly sunny skies. By the afternoon, mostly sunny skies persist, as temperatures reach the low-80s for a high with winds increasing to around 10 mph. Winds calm heading into the evening with clouds slowly increasing ahead of the next weather-maker.
Overnight: The weak high-pressure system that kept Milwaukee dry during the day will quickly move off to the east, making way for a stronger low-pressure system to take its place from the west. Because of this, skies will become overcast overnight with temperatures dropping into the mid-60s accompanied by southwest winds around 6 mph. Finally, some patch fog may form in low-lying areas Friday night, so be careful if you will be on the roads before 7 a.m. Saturday.
Tomorrow: Saturday will be a bit more seasonable with rain chances returning. Temperatures look to rise into the low-70s in the morning with winds out of the southwest around 8 mph under mostly cloudy skies. By the afternoon, the low pressure system will generate a band of showers that will gradually spread eastward. This in turn will generate a 70% chance of showers through the late afternoon and evening. Besides the rain chance, high temperatures reach 80 in the afternoon. Also, dewpoints will be on the rise through the afternoon, getting into the low-60s which will make it feel a little sticky out. Showers will continue through the evening and into the early night. Milwaukee could pick up close to a half inch of much needed rainfall. After midnight, rain chances will fade which will leave skies overcast. Temperatures will bottom out in the upper 60s with winds consistent winds.
Sunday: The extended forecast looks hot, humid, and stormy. Sunday will be the start of this pattern with high temperatures reaching the mid-80s for a high with winds remaining out of the southwest around 12 mph. It will still feel sticky out with dewpoints hovering in the low-60s. Another 50% chance of showers begins to move in by Sunday evening and lasts through Monday morning thanks to a warm front that will swing through overnight. It won’t rain this entire time however, Milwaukee could pick up another quarter of an inch of new rainfall by Monday morning. Other conditions Sunday night will feature lows in the upper 60s with winds turning to the south around 12 mph.
Extended: Monday will feature warmer temperatures, higher dewpoints, and more rain chances. Rain showers wrap up by noon which could lead to some late-day sun between broken cloud cover. By the afternoon, temperatures reach the upper 80s for a high with southwest winds around 10 mph. Furthermore, dewpoints will rise into the tropical 70s which will make outdoor activities feel quite uncomfortable. Overnight, a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms return, as temperatures only make it down to the low 70s with southwest winds continuing around 8 mph. Tuesday will be a repeat of Monday with a little more sun. Skies will remain mostly cloudy in the morning, but some sun may show after noon. Temperatures reach the upper 80s for a high with winds out of the southwest around 8 mph. Dewpoints will stay elevated in the upper 70s through the day and into the night. More showers and thunderstorms will arrive after 10 p.m. Tuesday ahead of a cold front. New rain amounts could be just over a quarter of an inch. Other conditions Tuesday night will feature lows only making it down into the low-70s thanks to a southwest wind around 10 mph.
