Today: The 5-Day Forecast August 3, 2025 begins with a reminder that the air quality will continue to remain unhealthy for sensitive groups until Monday at earliest. The air quality alert from the NWS updates daily, found here.

We awake to high 60s, clear skies, and barely any wind as the beautiful weather from Saturday continues until Tuesday. This weather results from the high-pressure system sitting above and near Wisconsin for the majority of the week. Today will warm to 78 while the winds hover around 3-7 mph winds with gusts not exceeding 10 mph. Low waves with a lake breeze create great conditions for the beach both today and tomorrow.

Tonight: Expect some clouds to overshadow the sunset and move through during the night. Coupled with the breeze, this drops the low to a cool 60 before the sun wakes Monday.

Tomorrow: Our workweek starts comfortably in the 60s as the sun shines to the east without too much haze. Clouds will have dissipated mostly by the finish of morning rush hour. The lake breeze continues a bit stronger tomorrow, to the tune of 8 mph, gusts possible of 14 mph. As the day progresses, temperatures reach 80 degrees before falling back through the 70s for the sunset. A low of 63 will find us towards the morning of Tuesday.

Tuesday: Tuesday’s sunrise finally should look mostly clear of any smoke. Clouds will instead scatter the sky Tuesday, as some instability forced north from Kentucky makes its presence known. This might manifest a sprinkle of rain here and there in the afternoon, but do not expect much, if at all. Tuesday also sees the end of high pressure in southeastern Wisconsin, meaning an increase of rain chances in the last part week. The day will feel a bit more humid at a high of 78 and variable winds. Winds will turn from the south more at the pace of 9 mph, gusts up to 18 mph. As the clouds dissipate a bit, the sun will introduce the night and leave us to cool to 68.

Wednesday and Thursday: Wednesday and Thursday follow along with the changing of the weather, with possible afternoon showers each day, especially Thursday. High temperatures rise to 86 for Wednesday and 88 Thursday while winds out of the south shove more warm, unstable air our way. Consistent 9 mph and 11 mph winds will cause each day to feel humid and sticky, but expect a cool down if any rain moves through the area. Clouds will become increasingly common as the workweek comes to a close. Lows will rise as well, hitting 70 Wednesday and 72 Thursday.
