Today, July 10: Today looks like a beautiful day in the city! Thanks to a high pressure system that moved in yesterday, your Thursday looks to stay clear and mostly dry. A few puffy clouds might dot the sky, but nothing more than that is expected until the clouds begin to move back in during the late afternoon. Temperatures will warm up into the low 70s, but thanks to the sunshine, mid-to-upper 70s aren’t out of the question in the afternoon. A lake breeze could kick in mid-afternoon as well, which would keep temperatures a little cooler. Dew points will stay in the low 60s, making it feel a little sticky out.

Tonight: High pressure starts to move out, letting in some more unstable weather. There’s a small chance for rain overnight, increasing slightly as Friday moring comes around. An increase in clouds will keep tempertures in the mid-60s overnight.

Tomorrow, July 11: Friday looks a little more active as some unsettled weather continues to move in. Partly cloudy skies will allow periods of sun to warm the area, allowing temperatures to warm into the low 80s. Dew points will also spike back up into the upper 60s, creating a good environment for storms. The Storm Prediction Center has us in a marginal risk for severe wether, with the most likely period looking like Friday afternoon and evening. Main threats, as of now, look to be damaging winds and some small hail, but an isolated tornado is still possible. Make sure to stay tuned for updates! As the evening and overnight hours proceed, rain chances go up slightly as the low pressure system moves it’s way east. Temperatures will stay mild overnight, falling into the low 70s.

Extended Forecast, Saturday, July 12 – Monday, July 14: Saturday looks a little soggy as the low pressure system fully pushes into our area. Periods of rain and some thunderstorms during the day. Right now, it doesn’t seem like anything severe is expected, but that could change within the next couple of days, so make sure to stay weather aware! High temperatures will be in the low 80s. Sunday looks nice as the low pressure system moves out during Saturday night. Mostly sunny skies will grace the city once again, and temperatures will be in the low-to-mid-80s. Monday looks similar, with ample sunshine and a high temperature in the mid-80s. There looks to be a small chance of rain in the afternoon, but that could change as the day nears and the forecast becomes clearer.
