Overview: Milwaukee’s 5-Day Weather Forecast July 31st, 2026, begins warmer and rainy but cools down into a beautiful start to the next week.
Today: Starting out in the upper 60s, Milwaukee wakes up to increasing clouds and strengthening winds from the south. By noon, winds of 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph push Milwaukee’s temperatures near the high of 82. Drizzles could enter beforehand, but mainly in the afternoon and later evening, downpours rule Milwaukee. One might even hear an occasional rumble of thunder. With rain in between the downpours though, the deepening low-pressure system to our southwest causes a thoroughly rainy afternoon, evening, and night.
Tonight: Winds change early in the night to bring eastern, then northeastern, then northern winds howling in from Lake Michigan. As winds average 12 mph with gusts up to 24, this steadily increases into the morning of Saturday. Rain persists while Milwaukee drops into the high-60s and remains semi-steady through most of Saturday.
Tomorrow: The rain finally ends in the second half of the day. Winds now average 14 mph and gust up to 35 mph from the north. Temperatures might be able to rise slightly with clearing skies to a high of 70. Ending with a partly cloudy sunset, Milwaukee eases back to 63 for a low. After receiving around an inch of rain, we set our eyes on the dry, cooler days ahead.
Extended: A growing high pressure maintains the northeastern winds as the low pressure exits the Midwest. Slowly and steadily, the high pressure leaves for the eastern seaboard, out of the picture by late Tuesday. This means temperatures, though increasing, remain temperate into the midweek. Highs are expected to start in the low-70s and rise to 79 on Tuesday. However, lows stick close to 63 the whole time. Winds decrease over the beginning of the work week to 12 mph, 8 mph, and 4 mph, respectively. Gusts follow suit at 30 mph, 20 mph, and 18 mph. All the while, blue skies rule until later Tuesday with a bit of overcast skies in the night. These might hold some rain, so stay tuned!
