Today: Hot conditions are anticipated to kick off as an Extreme Heat Warning is in effect for Milwaukee County and south from noon today until 7 p.m. Monday. Heat indices, or “feels like” temps might get as high as 108. Find ways to stay cool and limit time outside if at all possible. Clouds are looking to persist through the morning from overnight rain before clearing out by the afternoon. Winds are going to be out of the South/Southwest 20-25 mph, gusting to 35-40, so do not expect any cooling from the lake or lake breeze unless right along the shore. As for air temperatures, expect a cool morning with a low of 72, quickly warming into an afternoon high of 92.

Tonight: Cooler and calmer, but temperatures still expected to be in the mid to upper 70s with winds 10-15mph, so do not expect much relief overnight.
Tomorrow: Extreme heat continues with clear skies expected. Air temperatures can see a low of 75, warming to around 95 midday. Winds out of the South/Southwest around 15-20 mph will continue keeping the cool air over the lake from reaching the city. Remember to practice heat safety. Overnight, we see temps return to the mid to upper 70s to again, don’t expect much relief.
Extended Forecast: Monday we see the heat return, but a cold front is expected to pass through in the afternoon/evening bringing chances of rain and ending the extreme heat. A high of around 90 for the day. Tuesday we see a shift in the pattern bringing rain chances almost every day of the week. A high in the mid 70s for the day, but winds off the lake should help keep things cool. Wednesday looks to be more or less the same, though slightly cooler with a high only looking to be low 70s.
