Today: Monday starts off cool, with the lower temps right along the lakeshore and a high in the low 50s. Winds are light off the lake at 10 mph, with gusts maxing out at 15 mph and low fog is likely early in the morning. Skies will be partly cloudy for most of the day, turning to overcast in the late afternoon into the evening.

Tonight: Rain moves through the area after midnight on Monday, bringing with it colder temps for an overnight low in the mid 40s. Rain accumulation will be under an inch and carry over into Tuesday. Winds pick up as the night moves on, with gusts topping out at 25 mph and a breeze of the lake at 15 mph.

Tuesday, May 20th: Tuesday sees the start of a low pressure system move through Central Illinois, bringing with it rain throughout the day and cold temps in the mid 40s. Winds will be fast off the lake, with a steady gale of 20 mph and gusts of up to 40 mph.

Wednesday, May 21st – Friday, May 23rd: As the low-pressure system moves away from the area, Wednesday has warmer temperatures (compared to earlier in the week) in the mid 50s, with winds out of the north at 10 mph and a chance for rain in the morning. Thursday sees the return to temperatures in the mid 50s and clear skies and winds out of the north. Friday continues the trend of clear skies and warmer weather, with a high in the upper 50s and calm winds.
