As Fall Welcome Week comes to a close, a 100 students went out and explored Milwaukee’s wild side at the Milwaukee County Zoo on Saturday, Sept. 10.

The trip, which is in its second year, had upgraded from allowing only 50 students to attend the zoo for free, to letting 100 students participate in the trip. While at the zoo, the students were able to observe different animals from all across the globe while exploring a piece of Milwaukee too.

The trip was so popular, students were turned away from going once the group hit the 100 student maximum occupancy. Organizers are hoping that in the future, the trip will be able to grow and allow even more students to visit the zoo.

If students are interested in going to the zoo on their own, the Gold Line takes students right to the gates and will have to pay a fee of $11.75 or $14.25, depending on the season. For more information, visit www.milwaukeezoo.org/
