Lubar Entrepreneurship Center will be hosting the competition for entrepreneur students who wish to propose their ideas and demonstrate their experience with Lean Launch methodology – all in hopes of a reward that could turn their vision into a reality.
These students, including UWM students, have the opportunity to win up to $1,500 by applying for the first round of the Wisconsin Big Ideas Tournament by Mar. 9.
To apply, students must virtually answer a series of questions in one of three ways: by writing an essay, recording a three-minute video or doing a combination of both.
Judges will choose five to seven applicants to advance to round two on Mar. 11. Those who advance will participate in a live event on Mar. 16. where they will be given 90 seconds to articulate their pitch followed by a Q&A with the judges.
The tournament will also award a second place prize of $1,000 and a third place prize of $500.
