Plaques were revealed outside the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena Tuesday, honoring former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver and former Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball Head Coach Bo Ryan, both members of the 2016 class of the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame.
Ryan and Driver were inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame’s 65th Anniversary Class on April 30, joining 135 of the state’s greatest athletes including: Barry Alvarez, Vince Lombardi, Bob Uecker, Robin Yount, Bud Selig, Bart Starr, Bonnie Blair, Hank Aaron and Al McGuire.
As the plaques were unveiled, the 2017 Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame class was announced. This year’s inductees, former Green Bay Packers cornerback Charles Woodson, Wisconsin Badgers Heisman Trophy winner Ron Dayne and LPGA Legend Sherri Steinhauer, will be honored on April 29, 2017 at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.
The Wisconsin Athletic Walk of Fame is located on 4th Street in Milwaukee’s downtown sports and entertainment district, contains bronze plaques honoring members of the Wisconsin Hall of Fame.
The Walk of Fame is free of charge and open year round to the public.
