The UWM Registrar’s office announced today that the formats of students’ Fall 2020 schedules are officially in PAWS.

The update is a follow up to the previously announced Fall 2020 reopening plan for the university in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the most recent email, the class format possibilities include:

  • Online and Synchronous – An online class where you have to log in at a specific day and time. This is designated in PAWS by “ONLINE” followed by a day and time when you will meet.
  • Online and Asynchronous – An online class where there is no designated login time. This is designated by “ONLINE,” with no date and time listed on your PAWS schedule.
  • Face-to-Face – Classroom assignments for in person classes will be designated in the first week of August.
  • Split-Enrollment Face-to-Face – Some face-to-face classes will be utilizing a split enrollment format, in which some of the class will meet one day and some will meet another day. These details will be in PAWS in early August.
  • Hybrid – The hybrid formats vary, but they will include some face-to-face and some online components of the course.

Students can find information about their classes for Fall 2020 in PAWS and should contact their academic advisor if they have questions.
