Today: Today starts off calm and partly sunny, with skies turning to overcast and a chance for showers and thunderstorms. Showers look to begin in the late afternoon bringing the chance for a rumble of thunder to roll through the area, clearing briefly for the evening. The daytime low will hit 36 degrees and highs inland will peak near 60 and stay steady as night moves on. Winds off the lake look to reach a top speed of 15 mph with max gusts of 35 mph, which would prevent lakeside areas from seeing those warmer inland temperatures.

Tonight: A slight chance of rain and a brief storm reappears after 7 p.m. After that line clears, the chance for thunderstorms and showers continues into the night, with the greatest chance between 1 and 4 a.m. If these storms are stronger as they pass through, there is a potential for small hail in some areas. Temps stay warmer overnight as a low-pressure system starts to move through the area, bringing up warmer air from the south.

Friday, April 18th: Friday morning consists of partly sunny skies and warmer weather before becoming overcast as rain moves in from the southwest. The Storm Prediction Center has assessed a slight risk for severe weather in the Milwaukee area. While the risk is valid for Friday, models appear to show a line of showers developing in the evening and clearing into the night. Cold air from the north looks to prevent stronger storms from developing, due to a surface low pressure system passing over Wisconsin. The daytime high should reach the 60s lakeside with gusts out of the south starting at 25 mph in the morning, steadily calming through the day.

Saturday, April 12th – Monday, April 21st: Saturday starts off cool as a cold front moves through the area on the backside of the low-pressure system, leading to cloudy skies and light winds out of the north. Highs will peak in the low 50s, with an early morning low in the mid 40s. Sunday follows the trend of mostly cloudy and cool, before turning to rain in the afternoon as temps stay in the mid 40s. Monday starts off cold and rainy, with highs in the mid 30s and precipitation likely into the afternoon.
