MKZine: Vol. 1, Issue 1 – September 2026
The UWM Post has returned to publishing physical pieces. This hasn’t happened since 2012, when the newspaper went fully online. It’s coming in the form of a zine rather than the traditional newspaper layout.
“MKZine” is a publication powered by the UWM Post, and it requires no purchase. You will find it in literature racks around the UW-Milwaukee Student Union and in the hands of UWM Post staff.
Editors at the UWM Post chose the name “MKZine” to highlight that the publication is interested in covering the Milwaukee community from a student perspective. Each issue of “MKZine” will have a different theme. All the collected pieces inside will relate to the issue’s title.
Volume one, issue one of “MKZine” is titled “Student Lifestyle Guide.” It features an interview with UWM Chancellor Gibson, campus recommendations, student spotlights, a weather guide, a first-year student perspective, creative pieces and more.

The publication is a nonprofit student organization of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. There is an active GoFundMe to help raise money for future editions of “MKZine.”
