Today: On-and-off showers persist into the morning. The steadiest showers will arrive mid-to-late morning and last into the early afternoon. Rain totals likely stay light (under 1/4 of an inch) with a few rumbles of thunder possible. Skies remain mostly cloudy throughout the day, and cool easterly winds off Lake Michigan will hold high temperatures around 51 degrees in the city.
Tonight: Rain tapers off by the evening, with drying conditions expected overnight and winds around 10-2o mph and the temp dipping to around 40 degrees.
Tomorrow: High pressure builds in behind Friday’s system bringing sunshine and calmer weather. With 10-20 mph winds during the day, Milwaukee wakes up chilly, with lows hovering around 40. Despite the sun, a persistent east breeze off Lake Michigan will keep lakeside areas cooler, highs top out around 50 degrees near the shore, with warmer readings around 60°F just a few miles inland. Skies remain mostly clear into the evening, and it’ll be another chilly night.
Sunday, April 27: Sunday kicks off a warming trend as winds turn south. Although the morning will be chilly with upper 30s, skies will be partly sunny and temperatures in the city warm into the upper 50s maybe reaching 60 degrees. It stays dry through the day, though humidity begins to creep upward. Winds pick up slightly out of the south by afternoon, especially near the lake maybe reaching 15 mph. Overall, a pleasant, breezy, and spring-like day.
Monday, April 28: This will be the warmest and most active day of the period. With strong southerly winds around 20 with gusts up to 25 mph, temperatures may soar to near 75F even near the lake. It’ll feel almost summerlike by afternoon. Storm chances increase later in the day and into the night as a cold front approaches from the west. The Storm Prediction Center has placed southern Wisconsin under a 15% risk for severe weather, especially areas inland from Milwaukee. Expect more details to evolve, but damaging wind or hail may be on the table.

Tuesday, April 29: Much depends on when the front clears Milwaukee, but if it holds off until afternoon, we may warm back into the upper 60s or low 70s before cooler air rushes in. Showers and some lingering storms are possible in the morning or early afternoon. By evening, expect clearing skies, cooler temps, and a return to northwest breezes around 20 mph. The cooler pattern sticks around for midweek.
