Today – Friday, May 2:
Milwaukee wakes up under low clouds and patchy drizzle. While some scattered light showers or mist may linger through the morning hours, especially closer to the lake, drier air begins filtering in from the north by midday. Skies stay mostly cloudy, but there may be a few breaks in the clouds during the afternoon. It’ll feel cool with the breeze coming in off the lake, expect a high around 50 near downtown and slightly warmer in the western parts of the city. Winds will be from the north at 10–15 mph, adding a chill to the air near the lakefront.
Tonight:
Skies begin to clear late tonight as high pressure builds in from the west, bringing a much needed break from the gloomy pattern. Expect partly cloudy skies by midnight and cooler overnight lows near 41F. North winds will taper to a gentle 5–10 mph, setting the stage for a calm and quiet night.

Saturday, May 3:
Sunshine finally returns! A fresh air mass settles in, and while it will still be a bit cool for early May, the dry, bright conditions will feel like a welcome change. Expect highs around 50 near the lake, with some western neighborhoods climbing closer to 60. A light northeast wind at 5–10 mph will keep the lakeshore crisp, but overall, Saturday brings great weather to get outside and enjoy Milwaukee’s spring scenery.
Sunday, May 4:
The warming trend continues, and Sunday will feel even more pleasant. Skies start mostly sunny with a few more clouds moving in later in the day. There’s only a slight chance for a stray evening shower, but most of the day stays dry. Temperatures rise to about 60 near the lake and mid-60s inland. Southeast winds around 10 mph will keep downtown slightly cooler, but overall it’s another solid spring day.
Monday, May 5:
Milwaukee heats up! A stronger push of warm air surges into the area on breezy south-southeast winds (10–15 mph), sending highs to around 60 downtown, and mid-70s farther inland. Skies remain partly sunny, and it’ll feel like summer’s knocking on the door. It’s a dry and breezy day, perfect for outdoor plans, though those closer to the lake may feel a few cooler gusts in the afternoon.
Tuesday, May 6:
Tuesday starts mild again with morning temps in the upper 50s and afternoon highs near 62F downtown. Skies may be more partly to mostly cloudy, and there’s a small chance of showers by evening or overnight as weather patterns begin to shift again. Winds are light and variable, so lake cooling may be less of a factor, especially earlier in the day.
