Today, May 8: Sunshine returns today as high pressure continues to dominate the region. Any lingering clouds from overnight will clear out by mid-morning, giving way to ample amounts of sunshine. Temperatures will warm into the upper 40s, maybe getting into the low 50s by the afternoon, but with a slight breeze of 15 mph out of the northeast, it will likely feel cooler than that. The wind will calm as the evening comes around.
Tonight: Skies will remain clear overnight, allowing temperatures to fall into the upper 30s. However, a light wind could allow the temperatures to fall into the low 30s, bringing the possibility of frost.
Friday, May 9: Other than the occasional puffy cloud, Friday looks to be another beautiful day here in Milwaukee as high pressure will keep things calm weather-wise. Temperatures will warm up into the upper 50s, possibly hitting 60 in some spots near the lake before a lake breeze moves in and cools things down. Winds will stay light throughout the day. Temperatures should hang in the low 40s, but could fall into the upper or even mid-30s due to a similar situation as Thursday night.
Extended Forecast, Saturday, May 10 – Monday, May 12: High pressure will continue to dominate the region throughout the weekend and into next week. Saturday looks to warm up into the upper 60s with plenty of sunshine, though some models are hinting at a minor upper air disturbance. Chances of rain look slim throughout the day, though a pop out shower could occur. Sunday is looking like an exact replica of Saturday, with the only difference being no rain chances and a slightly cooler high temperature; still in the upper 60s. Monday breaks the trend a little bit with more clouds moving their way in as the dominant high pressure starts moving out. Temperatures will make it into the upper 60s, and a healthy mix of sun and clouds will be present all day.
