Today: Fog due to cool overnight temperatures and the amount of moisture in the air will persist through the early morning, but clear by 8 a.m. Today could be given the phrase, “The calm before the storm”. Low pressure located in states to our south is expected to create some upper air disturbances through the day. These disturbances have the potential to create some pop-up rain for areas inland, but Milwaukee is likely to stay dry. Overcast skies begin the day then with clearing, few clouds will allow for temperatures to reach the upper 60s as a high (cooler lakeside).
Tonight: Clouds return as the sun begins to set, with temperatures cooling near 54 degrees to end the night. Fog looks to reappear for the evening hours. Conditions will remain calm and dry with light winds as our next system approaches.

Tomorrow: The Storm Prediction Center has assessed an “Enhanced Risk” for severe weather for the Milwaukee area. A strong low-pressure system is expected to bring a warm front through the state ahead of our next severe weather occurrence. This front will allow temperatures inland to reach 80 degrees, while a southeast wind flow will prevent lakeside areas to even hit 70 degrees. Storms look to hold off through the morning and early afternoon as noticeably humid conditions swarm into our region. By the late afternoon, developed storms enter the Milwaukee area bringing the risk of large hail, strong winds and few tornadoes. A cold front is expected to catch up to the line of storms, allowing temperatures to cool just below 60 degrees by the end of the night with rain clearing by the overnight hours.

Friday: Much of Friday looks to remain calm, as clear skies dominate the day and temperatures reaching the upper 70s inland. Another low-pressure system over Minnesota looks to bring another round of rain and storms in the later day. The greatest risk with these storms would be hail and heavy downpours. Rain will continue through the night, ending in the early hours Saturday. Temperatures will fall in the mid 50s as a low.
Saturday: The previously mentioned low-pressure system will continue to impact the Milwaukee area on Saturday continuing rain chances through the day, clearing by Saturday night. Temperatures are expected to reach 66 degrees and a lows falling into the 50s.
Sunday: High-pressure builds into the region for Sunday allowing a break from the rain. Much of Sunday looks to contain clear skies, with clouds redeveloping into the night. Expect a high temperature in the upper 50s and lows falling in the 40s. More upper air disturbances look to reappear for the work week.
