Today, May 18: Congratulations to all the graduates, including some of our Post meteorologists! Your Sunday looks to be noticeably cooler than the previous days. Temperatures will make it into the low 50s, but some sunshine will make it feel a little warmer. Winds will be light for most of the day. Some fair-weather clouds will come and go throughout the day, but sunshine will be ample.

Tonight: A few more clouds will push in overnight, making it partly cloudy for the night. Winds will stay light and temperatures will dip in the low-to-mid-40s.

Monday, May 19: Monday looks cloudy and cool. The high pressure that had been in place over the weekend starts to move out as our next system moves in. Clouds will be plentiful, but some sun will peak through here and there. Temperatures will be in the low 50s again, and winds will be a little gustier, getting up to 15 mph at some points of the day. There is a slight chance of rain, but that chance keeps getting slimmer as the low-pressure system responsible looks to stay off to the west until overnight. Low temperatures will fall into the low 40s, and rain chances begin to slowly creep up as Tuesday arrives.

Extended Forecast, Tuesday, May 20 – Thursday, May 22: Tuesday looks increasingly soggy as that low-pressure system moves to our south. This will bring some rain showers to the area, likely being an on-and-off type of rain. Temperatures will make it into the upper 40s, but it’ll be a struggle to warm any further than that. No severe weather is expected around here. Wednesday will start off wet as the low begins to move out of the area. As the rain tapers off in the afternoon, clouds will slowly follow. Temperatures will warm into the mid-50s. The sun returns on Thursday as the clouds finally work their way out. Partly to mostly sunny skies in the afternoon will allow the temperature to climb into the mid-50s.
