Today, May 27: Happy Tuesday, Panthers! Your Tuesday is looking up a little from the forecast yesterday. Clouds will become widespread as our next rain-bearing system moves in from the southwest. The rain looks to hold off until later in the day, but winds will be breezy throughout the day. A forecasted high temperature of 61 might be reached, but a cool wind of 10-15 mph off the lake and the presence of clouds will likely keep temperatures in the mid-to-upper 50s. The chance for rain increases slightly as the evening and overnight hours approach.
Tonight: Rain moves in, becoming steady in the early morning hours of Wednesday. Temperatures will fall into the upper 40s overnight.
Wednesday, May 28: Wednesday looks soggy and cool. Rain will continue into the morning and persist through the day. There might be a couple of periods of some lighter rain, but otherwise it looks to be pretty rainy all day. The total amount of rain will range from somewhere between a quarter of an inch and an inch, with a half an inch looking to be the highest predicted total for many areas. Temperatures will manage to get into the upper 50s, and winds will be 5-10 mph from the north. Rain will continue into the night, with temperatures falling into the upper 40s.

Extended Forecast, Thursday, May 29 – Saturday, May 31: Thursday looks drier and warmer as the low-pressure system begins to move out. Rain will linger throughout the day, but it will likely be on and off throughout the day. Temperatures will warm up into the low 60s near the lake, but the low 70s away from it. Friday will really warm up and dry out. Temperatures will be in the low 70s, and rain chances will be small. Any rain will likely be some pop-up showers and maybe a rumble of thunder. Saturday looks beautiful as sunshine returns fully. Temperatures will be in the mid-60s, but could be a little cooler near the lake.
