Today: Your Wednesday will start out on an overcast note, but skies should clear up as a high pressure system from Canada moves over northern Wisconsin and takes hold over our weather. Temperatures will begin to climb up through the mid 60’s in the morning with winds gusting 5 to 10 mph from the northeast. Despite the cool lake breeze the dew point values will still be hanging in the mid 60’s all day. By the mid afternoon highs should top out in the mid 70’s with mostly sunny skies. Winds will start to decrease by late evening along with the dew points dropping back into the upper 50’s.
Tonight: Overnight skies will remain clear and the winds will turn from the northeast to more of a northerly direction, but remaining calm. Dew points look to drop more overnight into the upper half 50’s however, do not be fooled dew points will start to rise again during your day Thursday.
Tomorrow: You can hit the replay button for your forecast on Thursday. Sunny skies will dominate the day produced by the high pressure that moved in Wednesday. This system will move just slightly to the east on Thursday. With this in mind temperatures will take a similar trend as Wednesday. In the morning temperatures will rise through the 60s and end up topping out into the upper 70s by the afternoon. Also, winds turn to the east by lunch time, but remain calm throughout your Thursday. As for mentioned, those pesky dew points will be on the rise again throughout your Thursday reaching the lower 60’s making it feel a little sticky out there. Finally, the evening should be a nice one with mostly clear skies over Milwaukee with winds remaining calm. Temperatures will fall back into the mid 60’s overnight along with a drop in the dew points which will rest in the upper 50’s.
Friday- Sunday: This weekend our nice stretch of weather will come to an end. Friday will be the start to another active weather pattern. Highs on your Friday will reach back up into the low 80’s with a big increase in the humidity. Dew points could reach the lower 70’s by Friday afternoon because of a calm southeasterly wind change. A low pressure system will drop in from the northwest bearing a cold front which should sweep through Wisconsin Friday night into Saturday morning. Models are showing discrepancies on the intensity and timing of these thunderstorms. As of right now, I can’t rule out that some of these storms may be strong to severe because of how prime the atmosphere will be for severe weather. Lows Friday night will only fall back into the upper 60’s to near 70 degrees and dew points stay in the high 60’s. Your Saturday morning will start out overcast with leftover showers from the Friday nights storms. High should be able to make it back to the 80 despite the clouds hanging around throughout the day. Winds will turn once more to the west and remain calm. Saturday night there is a slight chance of a shower (20%), but besides that skies will clear over Milwaukee for Sunday. Finally, your Sunday will feature mostly cloudy skies in the morning but turn more sunny by the afternoon. Highs will rise to slightly above 80 degrees, but it will feel sticky out there again with dew points still hovering in the mid 60’s. Lastly, this active pattern looks continue into early next week with more Hot temperatures, high dew points ,and more chances for showers and storms.
