Today: An air quality alert has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) until noon as westerly winds finally carry out smoke from the Canadian wildfires stationed over Wisconsin. The NWS recommends you try to stay inside, close windows and doors, and keep outdoor activities short and moderate. This is especially important for people with pre-existing respiratory conditions or people of old age. Despite this, expect another beautiful day in Milwaukee! The morning will start pretty muggy with a balmy temp of 76 degrees. As the day warms up to our afternoon high of 81 degrees, the stickiness in the air will clear, leaving the city with a beautiful, cloudless summer day.
Tonight: The clear, ideal conditions continue as night falls. Expect a night time low of 70 degrees, and very little wind.
Tomorrow: Expect a lot more of the same story on Tuesday as a high pressure system continues to make its way across Wisconsin. The morning will be mostly clear, with a temperature of 73 degrees. As the day continues it will become a bit more overcast, however it will still reach the daytime high of 82 degrees.
Extended: A shift in the usual will follow on Wednesday as a low pressure system is pushed in. Expect off and on showers throughout the day, with the majority of the storms hitting in the afternoon to evening. The high on Wednesday will be 78, with a low of 73. Thursday will again look similar, although the severity of the storm is disputable. Expect most of the rain to hit in the mid-afternoon. Thursday’s high will be 74, with a low of 67. A cloudy, tepid day is expected on Friday as the rain disperses, with a high of 75 and a low of 63.
