Today: Milwaukee’s 5-day Weather Forecast begins with a foggy commute. Most of the Midwest hides within the low-lying clouds until 9 a.m. when the sun finally peeks out. We will not see too much of the sun for the autumnal equinox. The autumnal equinox is when the Earth enters the third section of its journey around the sun: today around 2 pm. The sun’s direct rays fall south of the equator, plunging the Northern Hemisphere into the cooler half of the year. Contrasting this, Milwaukee temperatures today will rise rapidly from upper 60s to the unseasonably warm high of 77. Expect winds to average 9 mph, until the storms arrive around 3 p.m. Models and the NWS predict high winds up to 31 mph, lightning, and small hail. These storms will be arriving in a line in the early afternoon, and then occasionally produce an isolated storm near the lake heading into the night. Please take the necessary precautions with the severe weather threat. Stay up to date with your local forecast so you can adapt accordingly.

Tonight: The night sees more rain as the shortwave system (meteorologist term for wavy pressure lines producing precipitation) makes its way toward Michigan. Right before the rising of the sun for tomorrow, the temperature bottoms out at 61 thanks to a northern wind.

Tomorrow: Tuesday starts with much less fog and lingering precipitation, continuing the humid weather. Temperatures thankfully become chillier than yesterday though, falling to a high of 72. Winds decrease to an average of 8 mph with gusts of 24 mph as pressure systems send winds from the northeast. The sky dials back its greyscale ever so slightly, making the day partly cloudy. Milwaukee might see some rain other than in the morning, but only expect a drop or two. Clouds could dissipate for a nice sunset, but it is unlikely. The low reaches 63 due to Lake Michigan’s warmth.

Wednesday: Temperatures become strikingly chillier, falling to a high of 67. Winds increase to an average of 12 mph with gusts of 26 mph. The sky increases the grayscale as clouds gather to make this day mostly cloudy. Some rain is expected, but trustworthy sources predict thunder and gusts of wind to be only in some surrounding areas. As of now, the severe weather is supposed to avoid this area, but please stay up to date with your local forecast so you can adapt accordingly with this event. Severe weather can shift and evolve, so keep safety in mind when planning and participating in activities. The low reaches 63 for day 3 of the 5-day weather forecast.

Thursday: Temperatures become noticeably warmer Thursday, lifting to a high of 70. Winds decrease a small bit to an average of 11 mph with gusts of 19 mph as the low-pressure system of Wednesday’s rain exits toward Ontario. The sky takes a small step back with the clouds, giving us a day that is partly cloudy. Milwaukee will have lessening precipitation chances, but some rain will be possible in the early morning and towards the evening. Nothing is expected as of yet. The low reaches 60 with few clouds.

Friday: Temperatures will be slightly warmer, rising to a high of 72. Winds slow to an average of 9 mph with gusts of 16 mph. Skies become a bit bluer than the day before, only with passing clouds here and there. Predictions show no precipitation, and currently a weekend. Perfect for pumpkin farms, fall decorating, and outdoor enjoying. The low reaches 56 for day 5 of the 5-day weather forecast. Happy first day of fall y’all!
