Today: With a strong system high pressure parked to parked in Northeastern Quebec, Canada leads Friday to still look to be above average for this time of year in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Winds will be pulling in from the southwest with sustained winds 5-10 mph for most of the day. Temperatures will be able to rise through the 70’s in the morning and top out in the mid 80’s by mid afternoon with mostly sunny skies. Furthermore, you may feel a little humidity to air as dew points will be hovering in the low 60’s. 

Tonight: Friday evening winds will switch to more of a southerly direction and remain 5-10 mph overnight. Despite mostly clear skies temperatures will only be able dip into the 60’s for a night time low.  

Tomorrow: Saturday will start off with a few clouds as temperatures rise through the upper 70’s in the morning. Sunny skies will make a return by afternoon as temperatures push into the mid 80’s by mid afternoon also, you may notice a stickiness to the air as dew points will be hovering around 60 degrees. Furthermore, winds will stay out of the south-southwest throughout most of the day with sustained speeds 5-10 mph. Winds will increase to 10-15 mph still out of the south-southwest Saturday afternoon and into the overnight. In addition, temperatures overnight will only be able to drop into the mid 60’s for a low courtesy of the wind direction. Lastly, a strong high pressure system which has been sitting in Northeastern Canada that has been controlling most of Wisconsin’s weather will slowly make its way farther east in the wake of our next weather maker. 

Extended: Temperature swings and gusty winds with rain chances are on the docket Sunday through Tuesday. As we end off the weekend, Sunday will still be on the warm side of things with highs in the mid 80’s with mostly sunny skies across the Milwaukee area. Winds will be sustained around 10-15 mph out of the southwest, however winds will calm heading into the evening and overnight hours. Sunday’s lows will still be held in the mid 60s made possible by the southwest winds continuing. Monday starts a cooler weather pattern as a cold front connected to a low pressure system in northern Canada will swing through Wisconsin approaching from the northwest. Models are still a little inconsistent with the timing of this front, however at this time it looks like the cold front reaches the Milwaukee area by Monday morning. Milwaukee will see a couple shower chances for the beginning of the work week. Rain shower chances look to increase steadily through the morning and continuing the rest of the day. Rain chances will continue Monday night and finally end by Tuesday mid morning (new precip. amounts between 0.40 – 0.50 inches). With a shift in wind direction and mostly cloudy skies, temperatures will only be able to reach about 70 degrees for a high on Monday. By Monday evening winds will turn to more of a northerly direction, but calm as low temperatures tumble down into the high 50s with broken cloud cover. High temperatures will only be to work into the mid 60’s with broken cloud cover on Tuesday, but become sunnier as the day goes on. Tuesday evening and into the overnight should feature mostly clear skies with low temperatures potentially dipping down into the high 40’s. What a shift from Sunday!
