Today: The 5-Day Weather Forecast November 9, 2025 commences with the joy of the first snowfall of the year. At a temperature of 29, Milwaukee wakes up to a stray snowflake drifting between broken clouds while the night’s snow travels southeast. Temperatures do not rise much due to a lack of wind and a consistent northern wind, averaging 14 mph with gusts up to 32 mph. We briefly touch 34 around 1 p.m. before dropping into the 20s again for the night.
Tonight: Clouds gather as a bit more snow enters the lakeside area around 6 p.m. riding the northern winds. While temperatures plunge to low 20s, winds change over the lake, influencing some snow to fall. Our lake-effect snow should accumulate at a maximum of half an inch towards southern Milwaukee County. With wind and moisture variability, snowfall totals remain susceptible to change, so please stay up to date with local weather forecasts, radar, and alerts. Remember to always exercise caution on the roads in adverse weather conditions.

Tomorrow: We begin the work week with retreating clouds and a calmer wind. Although calmer, gusts of 30 are possible, so the high of 36 might feel colder than it measures to be. As the weekend weather exits, an entering low-pressure system sets up to the west of Wisconsin. Thankfully, Milwaukee sits between the systems of weather, enjoying some daylight without precipitation. During the night however, clouds increase as the low-pressure system west of Wisconsin moves through the north. Its passing creates some pockets of wintry weather later in the night. Probabilities of freezing rain or wintry mix remain low, but again, please stay updated with the changing weather. Temperatures reach 26 before sunrise Tuesday.
Tuesday: As we break Jack Frost’s hold Tuesday, a high within the low 40s provides some relief of the chilly past days. Winds calm slightly during the day but strengthen into the night, topping 33 mph gusts around midnight. Precipitation could also return Tuesday night, but do not expect much impact, if any. Ending Tuesday’s warmer weather, temperatures cool to near freezing, for a low of 34.
Extended: Looking ahead, the rest of the week should extend the warming trend in forecasted highs. Wednesday adventures back into the mid-40s because of southwestern winds averaging 14 mph and decreased clouds. Despite flirting with the freezing point Wednesday night, Thursday continues Wednesday’s work in 40s to hit a high of 49. More sunshine graces Thursday’s sky providing hope for a calmer second half of the week. Hailing from the west, Thursday’s relatively calm winds of 8 mph hold temperatures steadily above 36 in the night. Precipitation is not expected for either day.
