Today: A warm front which is attached to a low pressure system traversing Southern Canada will slide through Wisconsin Friday afternoon. This warm front will allow temperatures to soar into the upper 50’s for a daytime high as it approaches from the southwest and moves northeast throughout Friday. Despite this front moving through skies will remain mostly sunny with winds predominantly out of the south but very light (under 5 mph) most of the day.
Overnight: By the evening and into the overnight hours a few high clouds will move into Milwaukee ahead of a cold front connected to the same low pressure. Winds will gradually turn to the west as temperatures creep back into the upper 40’s for an overnight low.
Tomorrow: Saturday will be a gloomy day for the most part. However, despite the cloud cover, temperatures will make it into the lower 60’s for a daytime high. A cold front which is attached to the aforementioned low pressure systems will cut through Wisconsin approaching from the northwest and moving to the southeast towards Milwaukee Saturday afternoon. This front will create a chance of isolated showers however, models are very inconsistent at this time with amounts of precipitation and if the Milwaukee area will see any precipitation out of this front. Along with the chance for showers and overcast skies, winds will be gusty out of the west with sustained speeds between 10-15 mph. By the evening winds will turn to the northwest with speeds still around 10-15 mph after the passing of the cold front in the late afternoon. Into the overnight hours skies will clear gradually after midnight with wind speeds and direction staying steady.
Extended: We get back into some fall-like weather as a high pressure system out of Canada will battle with other weather systems and keep them to the south of Milwaukee. This in turn will keep the Milwaukee area dry and mostly sunny. High temperatures during this period will stay in lower to mid 40’s for day time highs and cool into the mid to lower 30’s for overnight lows. Sunday will really be the better of the two weekend days though gusty west winds throughout the day with sustained speeds between 10-15 mph are expected. By Sunday evening winds will decrease overnight with clear skies, which will help temperatures fall back below the freezing mark. Monday will start out like your Sunday with plentiful sunshine that will last until late afternoon. By Monday evening and into the overnight hours a weak disturbance to the south will slide eastward away from the Milwaukee area. No precipitation is expected but this disturbance will turn skies mostly cloudy by the evening and into the overnight hours. Due to the heavy cloud cover, low temperatures will stay just above the freezing mark Monday night. Finally, another sunny morning is in store Tuesday morning and lasts through the early afternoon before clouding up by late afternoon and into the evening. An east wind will be coming off Lake Michigan with sustained speeds between 10-15 mph for the majority of the day. By the evening winds will decrease slightly with overcast conditions which will allow low temperatures once again to remain above freezing.
