Today: Finally, the lake can be used to our advantage as easterly winds this morning cause us to be warmer lakeside than inland with temperatures around 40. Yesterday’s rain attached to a low-pressure system has exited our area, allowing high pressure to keep us drier through the rest of the week. Low pressure still lingers in our atmosphere though, where we can anticipate mostly cloudy skies through the duration of the day. Temperatures warm to a high of 43 with calm winds, like a typical fall day.

Tonight: Clouds stick around into the evening and overnight as temperatures sink just below 40 degrees for a low. Winds shift from the south and stay relatively calm through the evening and overnight.

Tomorrow: The southerly wind shift brings warmth for Thursday. Temperatures look to reach highs near 49 degrees with the wind flow carrying warmer air. If we had any chance of rain for the rest of the week, it’d be tomorrow due to warmer air being catered into the region. We’ll keep chances low as any rain shower would be isolated and brief, though overall looking unlikely for the area. Much of Thursday can expect to see mostly cloudy skies before evening falls and clouds begin to clear for the night time hours. Low temperatures fall to the mid 30s with calm winds.

Climate Prediction Center 6-10 Day Temperature Outlook; valid November 19-23. Outlook shows Wisconsin’s probability of being 60-70% warmer than normal during the forecast period.

Extended: Clearer skies join us for the weekend. Winds take a northerly shift to begin our weekend, where temperatures will take a dip towards normal. On Friday, we can expect mostly sunny skies with high temperatures reaching the mid 40s, before falling to a low just above freezing for the night. Saturday will be similar to Friday, with temperatures reaching 47 degrees. Much of the day will consist of clear skies until night time, where a bit of cloud cover redevelops and low temperatures fall to the mid 30s. On Sunday, we’ll see temperatures spike a bit, with high temperatures nearing 50 degrees as mostly sunny skies are on tap. Low temperatures will fall short of 40.
