Today: Snowy showers from a low-pressure system end early this morning, mostly clearing by 9 a.m. A blast of colder air follows behind that system, bringing blustery northwesterly winds into the Milwaukee area. Much of the day looks to be overcast as winds gust as strong as 35 mph, calming as the day progresses. High temperatures will be met in the morning at 32 degrees, but by midday we’ll be in the 20s. Cold winds will make it feel much colder outside with wind chill values in the teens.

Tonight: As winds slowly calm throughout the night, skies begin to clear closer to the evening. High pressure begins building into the region allowing for the clearer skies, with temperatures falling to a low of 11 degrees tonight.

Tomorrow: The sun returns tomorrow, with winds no longer being a concern through the course of the day. With mostly sunny skies on tap, temperatures look to reach a high of 20 for the day. Another system looks to quickly track into our area, causing the sunny skies to disappear by night time tomorrow. Our next chance of snow arrives tomorrow night as low pressure is seen to approach our region. Highest snow chances appear to be southwest of our area, though we can’t rule out a brief snow shower or flurries overnight into Friday. Low temperatures fall around 13 degrees. Accumulations around an inch is possible with this system.

Extended: A significant drop in temperatures looks likely for our weekend as arctic air sweeps in from the northwest. Isolated snow showers are possible early Friday, then clear for the day. Highs look to reach 25 degrees with mostly cloudy skies and breezier conditions. Temperatures take a significant dip on Friday evening with the passage of a cold front to welcome freezing temps for the weekend. Lows will fall to the single digits as another slight chance of snow is apparent for the evening and overnight. Temperatures on Saturday struggle to make it out of the teens, as a slight chance of snow can be expected during the afternoon hours. Cold air continues to flow through for the evening, with partly cloudy skies and low temperatures falling below zero for the night.
